Second ‘King’s Game’ Anime DVD/BD Release Artwork Arrives

The fall 2017 anime series King’s Game is having its home video releases handled by Amuse in Japan and they’ve set a standard schedule for it. As we’re just under a month away from the second volume arriving we now have a look at the cover and slipcover for the release that definitely plays up its nature well. The twelve episode series is getting a six-volume release that began on December 20th, 2017 where the DVDs are priced at 5,800 yen each and the Blu-ray’s at 6,800 yen each.

Noriyoshi Sasaki directed the series with Kenji Konuta handling the series composition. Kan Soramoto and Yosuke Ito worked on the character designs and it was being animated at Seven.

Plot Concept: Kanazawa Nobuaki has transferred to a high school far from where he used to live. Due to an incident at his old school, Nobuaki is afraid of getting close to his new classmates and keeps himself at a distance, but he starts opening up because of a sports day inter-class relay. Then, a single text message from someone calling themselves the “King” is sent to everyone in class. Nobuaki’s classmates think it’s a simple prank, and don’t take it seriously–but Nobuaki knows that a death game is about to begin, and struggles to oppose it…
