Add another show that you can get some binging in on now that most of the fall season series have finished up. After previously bringing out the Kabukibu! series for international audiences on the service, HIDIVE has now added US and Canadian streaming rights for the property. The series was an Anime Strike exclusive during its simulcast run this past spring but has now expanded to here – but is still available on Anime Strike as well. Sentai Filmworks acquired the home video rights for it previously.

The project was directed by Kazuhiro Yoneda based on the scripts by Yoshiko Nakamura and character designs adapted by Majiro based on CLAMPS original designs. It was animated at Studio DEEN.

The Japanese cast includes Taichi Ichikawa as Kurogo Kurusu, Yuuichirou Umehara as Tonbo Murase, Ryota Osaka as Shin Akutsu, Kengo Kawanishi as Jin Ebihara, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Hanamichi Niwa and Yuuko Kaida as Kaoru Asagi.

The original work has five volumes released to date. Eda began it back in the summer of 2013.

Plot Concept: The series focuses on Kurogo Kurusu, a high school student who loves kabuki so much that it’s annoying. Kurogo yearns to perform kabuki as part of a club at his school, but currently, his school doesn’t have a kabuki club. So Kurogo sets out to create a kabuki club, and his first order of business is to gather members.
