1 min read

The previously untitled Spider-Man animated film coming from Sony Pictures has now firmed up with the studio dropping the first trailer to reveal that it’ll be called Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The film is set for a theatrical release next year and is focusing on the character of Miles Morales from the Spider-Man Ultimate series that was part of a different timeline originally to try and do a side-reboot back in the early 2000’s.

The film is scheduled for a December 14th, 2018 release.

Directed by Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey, it comes from a screenplay by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The cast for it includes Shameik Moore as Miles Morales / Spider-Man, Liev Schreiber, Mahershala Ali as Aaron Davis / Prowler, and Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davi.

Plot Concept: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
