The ICv2 chart has arrived for what’s moved the most in the month of November withing BookScan’s calculations for graphic novels and it’s a pretty great month. Kodansha Comics has the 35th anniversary set for Akira landing in the 5th place spot, but let’s be honest, with a $199.99 price tag it’s tops in dollars for the month even with discounts that it likely had. That’s a fantastic placement for the set and one that’s getting a lot of fans happy with the quality of the project.
Manga has a good number of slots this month with Viz Media claiming the most units moved with My Hero Academia while also getting Tokyo Ghoul:re and Legend of Zelda in the mix. Yen Press has The Mortal Instruments adaptation showing up well alongside the latest Black Butler.
On the comics side, DC Comics has a good showing for some of their newer books in the mix as well as their evergreen titles. Marvel Comics may be absent but we’ve got a couple from Image and a couple of independents that shows Everyone’s a Aliebn When Ur a Aliebn Too: A Book surging back into the chart this month.
