With the fall 2017 anime series Inuyashiki showing up on Anime Strike, a lot of anime fans aren’t getting a chance to check it out as they can have only so many streaming services. The noitaminA YouTube channel has now added a new promo for the series with an eight-minute recap summary of episodes four through seven that gives viewers a chance to see what the style is like and intent, and if it’s something that they want to keep a greater eye on.

The Japanese cast includes Fumiyo Kohinata as Ichirō Inuyashiki, Nijirō Murakami as Hiro Shishigami, Sumire Uesaka as Mari Inuyashiki, and Sumire Moroboshi as Shion Watanabe.

The property is getting both a live-action film and an anime TV series. The project set Keiichi Satou as the chief director with Shuhei Yabuta serving as the hands-on director at MAPPA. Hiroshi Seko is on board for the series composition and Naoyuki Onda handled the character design.

Kodansha Comics is releasing the manga in print and digital form with Crunchyroll also doing some simulpub work on it.

Plot Concept: Ichiro Inuyashiki is down on his luck. While only 58 years old, his geriatric looks often have him written off as a pathetic old man by the world around him and he’s constantly ignored and disrespected by his family despite all that he’s done to support them. On top of everything else, his doctor has revealed that he has cancer and it appears that he has little time left in this world. But just when it seems things couldn’t get any worse, a blinding light in the night sky strikes the earth where Ichiro stands. He later wakes up to find himself unscathed, but he soon starts to notice that there’s something…different about himself.
