Fans of the Hunter x Hunter manga series from creator Yoshihiro Togashi definitely enjoy the work and support the creator, who has to deal with some very crippling pain and chronic issues that has more regularly brought the series to a halt over the last few years. The series went on hiatus this past August once again much to the chagrin of fans but it looks like the return has been scheduled. Weekly Shonen Jump is indicating that the series is back on track for a January 29th, 2018 issue release that will get us deeper into the royal succession storyline.
Viz Media has been releasing the series in North America and they caught up in the spring of 2017. They’re also in the process of releasing the anime TV series adaptation.
Plot Concept: Hunters are a special breed, dedicated to tracking down treasures, magical beasts, and even other men. But such pursuits require a license, and less than one in a hundred thousand can pass the grueling qualification exam. Those who do pass gain access to restricted areas, amazing stores of information, and the right to call themselves Hunters.
