With the fall 2017 season series of Tatsunoko’s new series Infini-T Force out there, which has been picked up by Viz Media, we also have some news about the movie coming next year – which Viz also has picked up. We knew previously that the feature was set for a February 2018 debut but now it’s gotten a formal date of February 24th, 2018 and will be titled Infini-T Force: Gatchaman, Saraba Tomo yo. The feature changes up the staffing side a bit as Atsushi Matsumoto is directing it based on the screenplay by Jun Kumagai.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Tomokazu Seki as Ken Owowashi / Gatchaman
- Takahiro Sakurai as Tekkaman / Johji Minami
- Kenichi Suzumura as Polymar / Takeshi Yoroi
- Soma Saito as Casshern / Tetsuya Azuma
- Ai Kayano as Emi Kaidou
- Hiroki Yasumoto as Raja Khan
- Daisuke Hirakawa as Damian Gray
- Kana Hanazawa as Bell Lin
- Atsushi Ono as Z
The staffing side was previously revealed with Kiyotaka Suzuki on board to direct with Toshiya Oono working on the series composition. Oogure Ito is handling the character designs while Keiichi Satou is handling the hero designs for them. Digital Frontier is producing the 3DCG animation.
Original concept: The original manga follows a young girl who summons a team of superheroes to save others.
