Media Blaster revealed last month that they’re going to dub the four-episode OVA series Ai no Kusabi that came out back in 2012 with plans for a Blu-ray release and digital streaming. That’s now been set for a December 19th, 2017 debut with the arrival of a dub clip from it as well as the main cast list that Brittney Lauda is directing with:
- Darren Mitchell as Riki
- Todd Haberkorn as Iason Mink
- Ricco Fajardo as Guy
- Elizabeth Maxwell as Mimea
- John Swasey as Orphe Xavi
- Matt Shipman as Norris
- Tyson Rinehart as Luke

The series was directed by Katsuhito Akiyama based on the manga by Rieko Yoshihara with AIC animating it. Yoshihara worked on the scripts and Naoyuki Onda worked on the character designs.
Plot Concept: In a future where social class is determined by the color of one’s hair, Iason sits at the top of the pecking order as a “blondie,” favored by everyone. He is given latitude in his daily life, but draws unwanted attention when he chooses to take a “mongrel” named Riki as his pet. Society has no taboos against staking claim to other humans, but the length and nature of this relationship brings unexpected consequences.
