Pony Canyon Sets First ‘Glasslip’ Anime Box Set

2 min read

GlasslipPony Canyon finished out the singles release for Glasslip back in 2015 but they didn’t follow it up with a box set last year like we expected. What they’ve done instead is to go for the compact Blu-ray route with the show re-authored down to two discs at quite the discounted price. While the six singles were priced at 6,800 yen each the compact collection is priced at 12,000 yen. It’s scheduled for a December 20th, 2017 release with details on what’s involved in the release coming later.

Check out our review of the series.

Based on the original story by Kazemichi, the series is directed by Junji Nishimura with Taefumi Anzai serving as the sub director. The series composition is handled by Nishimura along with Rika Sato while Miki Takeshita is handling both character design and serving as the chief animation director. ChouCho is performing the opening theme song while RIPE is handling the end song.

The series stars Seria Fukagawa as Touko Fukami , Saori Hayami as Yanagi Takayama, Risa Taneda as Sachi Nagamiya, Ryota Ohsaka as Kakeru Okikura, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Yukinari Imi, Daiki Yamashita as Hiro Shirosaki, Nao Toyama as Hina Fumaki and Ai Kayano as Momo Shirosaki.

Plot Concept: Toko Fukami thought she had settled on what she wanted in life: to hang out with her four best friends in their small seaside town, and to eventually become a professional glassblower working in her family’s glassworks. But now two things have happened that may change her destiny forever. First, she’s seeing things. When she looks into reflections in glass, sometimes she catches glimpses of things that haven’t happened yet. And then a new boy, Kakeru, transfers into town, claiming that a voice from the future led him to her. Suddenly Toko is re-evaluating everything she thought she knew, from the proper care of her school’s chickens to how she really feels about each of her friends.
