A Daring Escape With Latest ‘Joker Game’ Anime Dub Clip

Joker Game Visual 12-11Funimation is distributing the Joker Game anime series on DVD/BD for Crunchyroll and it arrived recently with a September 26th, 2017 release date. With that out there they’ve now brought out another dub clip for it that’s from one of the more interesting sequences with a crafty escape getting underway. The release is priced at $64.98 and has thirteen minutes of extras.

This series follows the live-action film that landed in January 2015 and was produced by Production I.G. with Kazuya Nomura directing it while Shirow Miwa handled the character designs. The opening song comes from QUADRANGLE with “REASON TRIANGLE” while MAGIC OF LIFE is handling the ending theme with “DOUBLE”.

The Japanese cast includes Kenyuu Horiuchi as Yuuki, Hiro Shimono as Miyoshi, Ryouhei Kimura as Kaminaga, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Amari, Takahiro Sakurai as Tazaki, Yuki Kaji as Hatano, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Odagiri, Jun Fukuyama as Jitsui, Nakai Kazuya as Fukumoto, Kenjirou Tsuda as Jirou Gamou and Tomokazu Seki as Sakuma.

Joel McDonald is serving as the ADR director working from the scripts by Blair Rowan for the English language dub and the cast includes Bill Jenkins as Yūki, Christopher Wehkamp as Sakuma,
Brad Hawkins as Amari, Dallas Reid as Hatano, Joel McDonald as Jitsui, Dave Trosko as Kaminaga, Josh Grelle as Miyoshi, David Matranga as Odagiri, Ken Marmon as Mutō and Patrick Seitz as John Gordon.

Plot concept: Taking place in the year 1937 on the eve of World War II, the story involves a mysterious spy training organization known as the “D Agency”. The organization is established by Lieutenant Colonel Yuki from the Imperial Japanese Army. His ideals lead him to recruit people beyond military academy graduates and personnel, while training them to become skilled agents in arts of manipulation. These agents would become a specialized team to conduct operations. One such antihero agent under the name Jiro Kato goes on a harrowing mission to uncover secret documents called ‘Black Notes’, while battling forces from within and without his own ranks.
