‘Juuni Taisen: Zodiac War’ Anime Gets First Episode Simuldub Clip

Juuni TaisenSimuldub clips have been few and far between overall since Funimation started getting more aggressive with the concept but that changes up just a little bit this month. The streaming service is running the simuldub for Juuni Taisen: Zodiac War and with the first episode out last week they’ve dropped a good if brief clip to give us a taste of it. The series debuts new episodes every Wednesday at 4:00pm ET and this show has set Vic Mignogna as the ADR directing working from scripts by Alex Munis and Joel Bergen.

The English cast includes Mark Stoddard as Duo, Ian Sinclair as Eiji (Ox), Jad Saxton as Kiyoko, Chuck Huber as Michio (Dog), Caitlin Glass as Misaki (Monkey), Clifford Chapin as Naga (Dragon), Monica Rial as Ryoka (Rooster), Kenny Green as Sumi (Ram), Stephanie Young as Toshiko (Boar), Daman Mills as Tsugi (Rat), Jerry Jewell as Usagi (Rabbit), and Randy E. Aguebor as Yoshimi (Horse).

The novel from writer NisiOisin and artist Hikaru Nakamura is a prequel to the Oogiri work and it came out in 2015. Naoto Hosoda will be directing it based on the series composition by Sadayuki Murai. Chikashi Kadekaru is handling the character designs for it and Graphicina will be handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Nobuhiko Okamoto as Usagi, Shun Horie as Nezumi, Yuuichirou Umehara as Ushii, Hiromi Igarashi as Tora, Takuya Eguchi as Tatsumi (Elder Brother), Kousuke Toriumi as Tatsumi (Younger Brother), Hikaru Midorikawa as Uuma, Cho as Hitsuji, Saori Hayami as Sharyu, Ayane Sakura as Niwatori, Tomohiro Nishimura as Dotsuku, and Yoko Hikasa as Inou no Shishi.

Plot Concept: The 12th Twelve Tournament gets held every twelve years. Twelve brave, strange warriors who bear the names of the signs of the zodiac fight each other for the lives and souls.The victor of this tournament gets to have one wish granted, whatever the wish may be.
