‘Kimi ni Todoke’ Manga Ending Scheduled

2 min read

Kimi ni Todoke #27The end is night for one series that’s been plugging away solidly for over a decade with Kimi ni Todoke. THe ltest issue of Bessatsu Margaret magazine has revealed that the next issue arriving on November 13th, 2017 will have the final chapter for the series that will include color pages and a cover slot. We’ve known for a bit that the series was moving toward its ending but it was delayed a bit due to the mangaka’s health.

The book comes from creator Karuho Shiina which began serialization in Bessatsu Margaret back in 2006 and has twenty-nine volumes to its name so far in Japan with two seasons of anime production as well as a live-action film.

Plot concept: Sawako Kuronuma is the perfect heroine…for a horror movie. With striking similarities to a haunting movie character–jet-black hair, sinister smile and silent demeanor–she’s mistakenly called Sadako by those around her. But behind her scary façade is a very misunderstood teenager. Too shy to fit in, all she wants to do is make some friends. But when the most popular boy in class befriends her, she’s sure to make more than just that–she’s about to make some enemies too!
