Crunchyroll Adds ‘Onyankopon’ For Fall 2017 Anime Lineup

Onyankopon VisualCrunchyroll has another series added to their lineup this week that will be more on track next week with Onyankopon. The first episode of the series has gone live with new episodes coming out every Monday on the service at 1:05 pm ET for their members. Availability for it is strong as it’s available worldwide outside of Asia.

The series is directed by Sota Sugahara based on the scripts by Takeshi Onaka. Hikaru Suemasa handled the character designs.

Plot Concept: “I dance, therefore I am” West African sky-god Onyankopon saves high school girls with song and dance! Long ago, West African sky-god Onyankopon watched over humanity in their midst. But one day, as an elderly woman had been beating yam potatoes in a mortar, she accidentally hits whacks Onyankopon with the mallet, leaving her traumatized from the pain. Though she is now more wary of people, with the help of her underling spirits, whom she calls “Angels,” she continues to help humanity solve its problems.
