How do you make the sexy demon Eukanaria any hotter? Why you trade her hot pants for an equally short skirt slit up both sides, reduce the amount of cloth on her top, and give her a choker, of course. Dang, at this rate Eukanaria is going to be running around in the buff by volume six, not that I’m complaining.
Seriously though, this series is just a fun read with a quirky cast of characters. This volume does a little to explain the background of the relationship between Haruhiko and Yuka and reveal new mysteries about Yuka’s life during her time away at college. Paracelsus visits Earth in both skeleton and human form as he harasses Haruhiko about his crush on Yuka. It is a funny scenario as Paracelsus tries to play matchmaker. Much to my surprise, the whole thing is actually working out to Haruhiko’s advantage until Eukanaria shows up and ruins everything. From that point on Eukanaria really hits her stride, making Haruhiko’s life as difficult as possible.
All this humor at Haruhiko’s expense takes a back seat when a demon threatens Yuka while Haruhiko is in another dimension. Turns out spider demons need a virgin to bear their offspring. Will the spider demon be successful at impregnating Yuka? Will Haruhiko save the day? Even if he does, he’ll have to do something to make sure Yuka is safe, especially since he can’t be with her 24/7. Hmmm, I don’t know if ‘Hey Yuka, you need to sleep with me so the demons will leave you alone’ is really going to work for Haruhiko. Then again, maybe he will learn how to cast a love spell which will solve all his problems.
