‘The Punisher’ Debuts First full Trailer

2 min read

Netflix HeaderAfter bringing out both Iron Fist and The Defenders this year, Netflix has one more Marvel show to bring out to fans with an expected (but not yet announced) late 2017 debut for The Punisher. It’s definitely getting closer now as the streaming service has dropped the first full formal trailer for it that clocks in at just over two minutes and delivers on what kind of crazy intensity we’ll get for it with the action scenes. Hopefully, it won’t have as much padding as some of the other Netflix/Marvel shows.

The cast includes Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / Punisher, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page,
Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott, Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, Paul Schulze as Rawlins, Jaime Ray Newman as Sarah Lieberman, and Michael Nathanson as Sam Stein.

The new series will spin out from events of the second season of Daredevil and will feature the return of Jon Bernthal as the title character, Frank Castle.

Hannibal writer and executive producer Steve Lightfoot will serve as the showrunner for the series. Lightfoot was associated with the live-action adaptation of the Noir series as an executive producer as well.

Plot Concept: After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld.
