What they say
A genius programmer and hardcore robot otaku is reborn into a world of knights and magic, where huge robots called Silhouette Knights roar across the land! Now reborn as Ernesti Echevalier, he uses his vast knowledge of machines and programming talents to begin to make his ultimate robot. But his actions have unexpected results…?! The dreams of a robot otaku will change the world!

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
Ernesti and his comrades must fight against a giant weapon created by the Kingdom of Zaloudek, which is based off an ancient drake. It’s a huge monstrosity that can easily set a castle aflame. Of course, there is a lot more going on than just Ernesti’s fight against the giant super weapon. D and his men are being attacked by a group of Silhouette Knights, and another group are using Silhouette Gears to help evacuate the civilians.

Zaloudek’s new weapon is pretty interesting. Aside from being several times larger than even their Levitate Ships, it has a form of defensive lightning that it uses to block shots fired from Ernesti’s Silhouette Knight. There are also numerous Silhouette Knights embedded into the battleship, which Ernesti considers a violation of the robot code. Sadly, he’s pretty much the only one who follows this code, or even knows about it. It apparently goes against his aesthetics.

There are a lot of interesting concepts used during this battle, both in terms of battle tactics and how the differences in technology affect the overall battles. A good example of this is during Ernesti’s battle with Vyver, as it’s called. During the battle, Ernesti lands on the Vyver. The Vyver begins spinning during this moment, using the G-forces created by torque and gravity to force Ernesti off. This battle ends in a draw, with both forces retreating and planning for the next battle.

Something of interest about this episode is that Ernesti doesn’t really play a big part after the battle is over. He’s in the some of the scenes, but only some. In fact, the first quarter of the last half focuses more on the good guys and more on the enemies. Then the second quarter of the last half is focused almost entirely on the good guys other than Ernesti. In particular, it places a heavy emphasis on, at first, Queen Eleanora, and then it goes into an exposition of what all the Silhouette Knights in the Order of the Silver Phoenix are doing when the battle resumes.

In Summary
It looks like I was mistaken when I said this was going to be the final episode. Since the last battle at the beginning ended in a tie, and the rest was focused on building this next battle up, I can only assume that the last battle will, in fact, be the next episode. Vyver versus Ernesti. I’m pretty excited to find out who will win in this next episode. While I have a few complaints about just how fast everything is moving, especially given the massive scale of this war, I can’t deny that this episode managed to build hype for the finale… or what I hope is the finale.
