As we get closer to the upcoming fall specials for both One Piece and Dragon Ball Super, Toei is doing more promotion for the One Piece side of it that’s due to land on October 1st. With it just under a couple of weeks away, Toei has put out a five-minute promotional video for it that showcases some of the relationship between Luffy and Sanji and how things are coming together for this arc. It’s a solid primer that you can glean plenty from even without subtitles, though hopefully we’ll see Crunchyroll and Funimation bring out a subtitled version of this soon to ramp up interest a bit more.
The specials are not crossovers but nicely timed battlers of significance within each arc of the franchise as they currently stand. One Piece will focus on Luffy going against Sanji while Dragon Ball Super will pit Goku versus Jiren.
