Crunchyroll has picked up another Funimation title for streaming through their partnership and this is one that goes back a bit as it was originally an ADV Films title. Project Blue Earth SOS is now available for streaming to members on the service in its original Japanese language with English subtitles. Availability is decent as it’s open to viewers in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa.
Based on the original work by Shigeru Komatsuzaki, it’s directed by Tensai Oakmura based n the script by Ryota Yamaguchi. Tokuyuki Matsutake handled the character designs with animation produced by ACGT.
The Japanese cast includes Akeno Watanabe as Billy Kimura, Mitsuki Saiga as Penny Carter, and Ryou Hirohashi as Lotta Brest.
The English cast includes Clint Bickham as Penny Carter, Connor Heaton as Billy Kimura, and Morgan Starr as Lotta Brest.
Plot Concept: While deranged alien forces prepare a fleet of flying saucers for the invasion of all invasions, teenage geniuses Penny Carter and Billy Kimura join forces with a clandestine secret alliance to save humanity from the extra-terrestrial helmet worms and their tentacles of doom!
