Funimation is gearing up for the November 21st, 2017 release of the Myriad Colors Phantom World series on DVD/BD and ahead of that we now have the first look at the dub cast for it. The $64.908 set will have the thirteen episode run and will include a commentary, the bonus shorts, the web previews, along with promos, commercials, and the clean opening and closing sequences.
The series is set to be directed by Jerry Jewell and the cast includes:
- Micah Solusod as Haruhiko Ichijo
- Amber Lee Connors as Mai Kawakami
- Natalie Hoover as Reina Izumi
- Jeannie Tirado as Koito Minase
- Tia Ballard as Kurumi Kumamakura
- Jad Saxton as Ruru
- Carli Mosier as Arisu Himeno
- Lindsay Seidel as Haruhiko’s Mom
- Apphia Yu as Haruhiko (child)
The show was directed by Tatsuya Ishihara while Kazumi Ikeda served double duty as the chief animation director as well as working on the character designs. Fumihiko Simo handled the series composition while the animation is of course handled by Kyoto Animation.
The cast includes Hiro Shimono as Haruhiko Ichijou, Sumire Uesaka as Mai Kawakami, Saori Hayami as Reina Izumi, Maaya Uchida as Koito Minase, Azusa Tadokoro as Ruru, Misaki Kuno as Kurumi Kumamakura, Kikuko Inoue as Arisu Himeno and Daisuke Sakaguchi as Shousuke Morohashi.
Plot concept: Bounce into Kyoto Animation’s new action-adventure series filled with cute girls, menacing phantoms, and the dangers of the human mind. Things that go bump in the night, the seeming nothingness your cat stares into—what if something was there and what if you could see it? In Haruhiko Ichijo’s world, that’s the reality. After an experimental virus altered human brain chemistry, people began seeing “phantoms”—creatures once thought to be mere imagination. Most are harmless, but for the few that cause trouble, it’s up to those with special abilities to stop them.
Haruhiko, along with his fairy-phantom companion Ruru, and the brash yet vivacious Mai are part of the Phantom Hunting Club at Hosea Academy. Though their abilities are impressive, they’re kind of the worst team—until they recruit a few fresh faces! With phantom-eater Reina, the cool and powerful Koito, and the adorable Kurumi on their team, the girls and Haruhiko are ready to take on any phantom. But when it comes to facing creatures born of the human mind, what dangers await?
