While we’ve got awhile to go until the debut of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and have Force Friday to tide us over this coming week, there’s still a lot of things that will be happening. One of those that will delight many is the arrival of a range of visuals in magazines around the world, which includes this new piece of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker from a Hungarian movie magazine. Contrasting the actor and the character to where they were back in the original 1977 film is interesting and is also why I do enjoy that we have some film series that span the decades and allow actors to provide some potentially interesting spins on something.
The cast is confirmed with Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. New cast members will include Academy Award® winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award® nominee Laura Dern, and talented newcomer Kelly Marie Tran.
The film is being directed by Rian Johnson, who also worked on the screenplay for it. It’s scheduled for a December 15th, 2017 release.
