‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Reveals First Wasp Suit Image

2 min read

Ant-Man and the Wasp LogoWith the 2015 film Ant-Man having done $519 million on its $130 million budget, the sequel film with Ant-Man and the Wasp got some decent attention during SDCC – though no trailer released to the public. We’ve had some good cast announcements in the last few weeks as everything expands and yesterday as part of the 100th birthday celebration for Jack Kirby we got actress Evangeline Lilly showing off the first look at her in the updated Wasp costume. We’ve also got an updated synopsis and what looks to be the most current version of the logo as well that has a great kind of 50’s serialization design to it that I hope sticks.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled for a July 6th, 2018 release and currently has Paul Rudd set to star alongside Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Walter Goggins, Randall Park and Michael Douglas. Peyton Reed is returning to direct.

Plot Concept: In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
