Knights-and-Magic_EP1_S7Bandai Visual continues to adjust how they’re selling their anime in Japan and the latest one to get that is Knight’s Magic. With the summer series underway, they’re getting on the preorder train early with a look at the cover artwork for the first set. The thirteen episode series is getting a three-volume Blu-ray release that begins on October 27th, 2017. The first two sets run for 12,000 yen each while the third, which has an extra episode, will be priced at 13,000 yen. No DVD releases are being produced.

The series was directed by Yuusuke Yamamoto based on the series composition by Michiko Yokote. Kenichiro Katsura served as the character designer with Studio 8bit handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Rie Takahashi as Ernesti Echevarria, Ayaka Ohashi as Adeltrud Olter, Shinsuke Sugawara as Archid Olter, Yasuaki Takumi as Edgar C Blanche, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Dietrich Cunitz, and Shizuka Itou as Helvi Overlay.

The opening theme is “Hello! My World!!” by fhána and the ending theme is “You & I” by Ayaka Ohashi.

The light novels come from Hisago Amazaek-no with illustrations by Kurogin and it began under the Hero Bunko label back in 2013. With six volumes released so far and a manga adaptation from Takuji Katou, well, all signs were pointing to potential anime adaptation for a bit.

Plot Concept: A mecha otaku is reincarnated into another world as Ernesti Echevarria, also known as Eru. In this world, huge humanoid weapons known as Silhouette Knights exist. Dreaming of piloting those robots, Eru and his friends, Archid Olter and Adeltrud Olter, aim to become Knight Runners.
