What They Say
A year has passed since Seigi went into hiding and began his new life with Dr. Wiseman, and something about him has changed. Compared to the old Seigi, he’s tougher, colder, and more aggressive. As he defends his hideout from an attack, he receives a challenge from the princess herself! The time has come for Seigi to show off the fruits of his training–a grand battle in the Grand Canyon awaits!

Content: (please note that content portions of this review contains spoilers):
Seigi has been hiding out in South America with Easy and two other trainers. It has allowed Seigi time to stay safely hidden away from the Princess while he hones both his fighting skills and his special powers. But that safe time is over now that the Princesses assassins have found their hideout.

This effectively forces them to return to Dr. Wiseman and the lab, where they learn that the Princess has challenged them. She sent them a video that not only lays out her plans to take the Ruins Site located in the Grand Canyon but also reveals that Lisa is still alive and a prisoner. This doesn’t sit well with her long-time friend, Easy. But, Dr. Wiseman won’t have it, and he denies their request to go to the Grand Canyon.

Seigi, however, is a bit of an arrogant punk now that he has gotten stronger. He’s convinced he can stop the Princess from stealing the Grand Canyon’s Site and get Lisa back. While that isn’t enough to convince Dr. Wiseman, Easy pointing a gun at his head demanding that they are allowed to go, seems to do the trick. But, will any of this end well for Seigi, Easy, or their two bodyguards? If everyone knows he isn’t strong enough to defeat the Princess, will he even be able to survive the battle?

Regardless, what develops in the Grand Canyon is nothing short of a complete slaughter. Body parts flying, blood gushing, and super powers tearing everything asunder! Death and betrayal among friends are all that really waits for Seigi and the others in the Grand Canyon’s Ruins Site!

In Summary
While volume six was disjointed and awkward due to its long flashback sequence, this volume seven gets the story back on track. Seigi is older and stronger now, but none to wiser. He is all too eager to jump into a fight that he cannot win, all in the hopes of avenging his dead friends. From the reader’s standpoint, the story is much easier to follow now that many of the various factions from earlier volumes have been destroyed or consolidated. Basically, we are down to the Princess and her followers and everyone else that wants to stop her from destroying the world. But before Seigi can get to the Princess, he has to take on and defeat the Princess’ shield, Cal. Keep in mind, Cal was too powerful for even Brad Blackstone to defeat, so what hope does Seigi have?
