Saint Seiya Saintia Sho CoverFans of the Saint Seiya franchise learned back in December 2016 of another work coming out with the addition of Saint Seiya: Saintia Shou. It’s been quiet since this was announced and we still don’t know anything about it for the most part. The adaptation is based n the manga by Masami Kurumada and Chimaki Kuori which began in 2013 and has ten volumes out as of this month. The format for this new adaptation hasn’t been revealed so it could be a feature, a TV series, or an OVA/ONA series.

Seven Seas Entertainment picked up the rights to the manga with the first volume set for a February 2018 release.

Plot concept: After the defeat of Gemini Saga, the Sanctuary faces a new threat known as Eris, the Goddess of Discord and Chaos, with her minions, the Dryades. In order to combat such threat, a special class of female Saints, known as the Saintias, steps forward in order to protect their patroness, the goddess of justice, wisdom, and hope, Athena, in her present reincarnation, Saori Kido.
