The KanColle Movie came out back in November 2016 and had a limited 4DX theatrical run this past February before being solicited for a home video release. With thee film coming out on August 30th, 2017, Kadokawa has now dropped a quick hit commercial to promote it through the web advertising system to get some last minute sales and orders put in. The release is coming in three different flavors for fans to choose from with:
- BD LE: 8,800 yen
- BD Reg: 4,800 yen
- DVD LE: 7,800 yen
The limited edition release come with a bonus that as we get the commercials and trailers as the main extras.
The film was directed by Keizou Kusakawa with the Kensuke Tanaka and Jukki Hanada working on the script. Mayuko Matsumoto and Naomi Ide handled on the character designs once again and it was animated at Diomedea.
The Japanese cast includes Sumire Uesaka, Saki Fujita, Yuka Iguchi, Ayane Sakura, Ayana Taketatsu, Nao Tōyama, Iori Nomizu, Rina Hidaka, Yumi Tanibe, Yuka Ōtsubo, Megumi Nakajima, Aya Suzaki, Sarah Emi Bridcutt, Yui Horie and Ayako Kawasumi.
Property Concept: Set in a world where humanity has lost control of the oceans to the “deep sea fleet,” the only hope to counter this threat are the Kanmusu, a group of girls who possess the spirit of Japanese warships. The story revolves around Fubuki, a destroyer who comes to the Chinjufu base to train with other Kanmusu. Watch as their stories unfold!
