2 min read

Thor RagnarokWith Marvel having finished up the theatrical side for the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel and Spider-Man: Homecoming, the studio is really ramping up the promotion for the November 3rd, 2017 release of Thor: Ragnarok, which in Japan is being called Thor: Battle Royale. The second main trailer came out in English speaking territories previously but now CinemaToday is showing off the Japanese version of it, which is nearly a minute shorter but features some Doctor Strange footage at the start, which is no surprise to the fans that check into that movie last year.

The film is directed by Taika Waititi and will star Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Jaimie Alexander, Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Jeff Goldblum and Karl Urban.

Plot Concept: In Marvel Studios’ ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk!
