Otakon is the last big summer convention – though there are other conventions still to come – and it’s the one where we sometimes get a lot of announcements. Funimation has done just that by announcing plans for multiple titles that they’ve had in their library, like Your Name, while also revealing multiple new exciting acquisitions to dig into.

ACQUISITION ANNOUNCEMENTS
Myriad Colors Phantom World
Funimation has acquired and is releasing Myriad Colors Phantom World as part of our partnership with Crunchyroll. A huge treat for fans of Kyoto Animation, the studio behind titles like Haruhi, Nichijou and Free!, this show got a lot of attention for having great animation and being one of the rarer KyoAni shows with cute, particularly bouncy cute girls. Includes OVA episode!

Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia
Another show that Funimation is acquiring and releasing now as part of our partnership with Crunchyroll. Special girls with the ability to use Hybrid Heart Gear weapons to defend against invading enemies, but one particular boy has the ability to power-up the girls’ ability by making them climax.
