What They Say
One day, a shy girl named Ame met Nicori, a toy doll so full of life that he couldn’t resist talking to her. Nicori has helped Ame and her ultimate crush get close. But Nicori has feelings, too, and they’re leading him straight to Ame’s former kidnapper!

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
Things are looking up for Ame. Masahiro is starting to open up to her and her friends, and she’s gotten over her shyness around him. In fact, Ame’s getting better around people in general although she’s still so frequently gloomy I want to shake her. Fortunately, a love triangle is developing between her, Masahiro, and Midori so that’s keeping things lively among the human members of the cast.

Things are less rosy for Nicori. The once popular Nicori dolls are being thrown out by angry customers because they won’t talk like he does. Soon people are questioning whether Ame’s been fooling the public this entire time. Concerned over Ame’s reputation, Nicori returns to the amusement park to become their spokesdoll. His leaving throws Ame and friends into turmoil. But that’s not all. Nicori discovers that the amusement park owner’s grandson is none other than Ame’s kidnapper! That was a twist I didn’t see coming; I didn’t think he’d reemerge after kidnapping episode. Honestly, he seemed rather weak when he was introduced, but now I’m interested to see what kind of relationship will spring with him and Nicori essentially under the same roof.

In Summary:
Rumors abound about whether the talking Nicori is a hoax. Concerned for Ame’s reputation, Nicori makes a surprisingly selfless decision to return to the amusement park to protect Ame from the backlash. Though both of them are miserable from the separation, Ame finds unexpected support from her crush Masahiro while Nicori runs into an old enemy.

Extras in this volume include a brief story thus far summary, cast of characters, closing author’s note, three pages of translation notes, and an untranslated preview of Volume 4.
