While things improved in the eyes of some with the SDCC trailer for the upcoming Inhumans event series next month there are still a lot of people that need convincing. ABC has now brought out the first clip from the show with some Maximus and Medusa time and we’re still definitely struggling with how the hair is playing out for Medusa. With a September 29th, 2017 premiere on ABC after the IMAX run, ABC has it’s work cut out for it.
The new series will not be introduced as a spinoff of Agents of SHIELD and will stand as its own project. It’s being planned for an eight-episode event run with an IMAX showing for the first two episodes ahead of the broadcast premiere.
With Scott Buck as showrunner, the series stars Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Ken Leung as Karnak, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Mike Moh as Triton, Sonya Balmores as Auran and Ellen Woglom.
Plot concept: The TV series will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family. The Inhumans are a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers.
