‘Justice League’ Gets Extended SDCC Trailer

2 min read

Justice League FilmWith rumor of significant rewrites and reshoots to put everything together now that Joss Whedon as Zack Snyder stepped down for personal reasons, Warner Bros. brought out an extended trailer for the November 17th, 2017 debut of Justice League. It’s not surprising that it’s leaning more on the Wonder Woman side of things considering the way that her film performed this summer but there’s definitely a strong connection to be had to it to begin with. The trailer isn’t really meant for “mass consumption” in a way as it’s working more toward what an SDCC audience is looking for in terms of references, i.e. no Lanterns, but it’s hard to tell if it really delivers on it because the pacing feels off and for a lot of fans it’s still an adjustment trying to get used to who these characters are in this form since several of them haven’t had their own films yet.

The cast includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen and J. K. Simmons.

Plot Concept: Months after the events of Batman v Superman and inspired by Superman’s sacrifice for humanity, Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince assemble a team of metahumans – the Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg – to face the catastrophic threat of Steppenwolf and the Parademons who are on the hunt for three Mother Boxes on Earth.
