The latest rankings have come in from Japan with what’s selling on DVD and Blu-ray and fans are proving they know what they want. The third Kizumonogatari feature has arrived and the limited edition takes the top spot with just under 30,000 units while the regular edition hits just 2,000 on Blu-ray – and just under 3,000 regular on DVD. Solid numbers all around but it shows how little interest there is in this more collector driven smaller market. Once past that, pretty much everything else is under 1,000 units on Blu-ray other than the latest Blue Exorcist volume that’s above that by a few copies. And even then most of what we get are Girls und Panzer LE releases. Suffice to say, sucky week for new releases. Hell, the new Blue Exorcist releases was beaten out on DVD by Totoro!
