Originally done as a live-action film back in 1995, Uchiage Hanabi, Shita kara Miru ka? Yoko kara Miru ka?, which is localized as Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?, was announced for an anime adaptation back in December. With the project planned for an August 18th, 2017 theatrical bow, we now have a big new 90-second promotional trailer for it that shwos off more of the theme songs and some of the beautiful animation that you’d expect from it taking place in this region.
Akiyuki Shinbou is serving as the chief director with Nobuyuki Takeuchi serving as the hands-on director. The scripts from from Satoru Mosaki with animation by Shaft.
The Japanese cast includes Suzu Hirose as Nazuna Oikawa, Masaki Suda as Norimichi Shimada, Mamoru Miyano as Yuusuke Azumi, Takako Matsu as Nazuna’s Mother, Kana Hanazawa as Miura-sensei, Junichi: Shintaro , Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Kazuhiro and Yuki Kaji as Minoru.
Plot Concept: Schoolchildren Norimichi, Yuusuke, and Junichi want to know if fireworks look round or flat from the side. They make a plan to find the answer at a fireworks display, while Nazuna schemes to run away with Norimichi or Yuusuke, whoever wins at the pool.
