The summer 2017 anime series Souryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni is getting its Japanese home video release handled by VideoMaker and they’ve set a good release for it. Shorts often get a DVD-only approach but we’ve got it on that format priced at 5,400 yen and a Blu-ray priced at 7,344 yen. It’s scheduled for an August 25th, 2017 release with details to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The five minute per episode show is based on the manga of the same name from Maomi Reon that began in 2014 and has ten volumes to date so far. Hideki Araki is directing it based on the scripts by Makoto Takada and character designs by Mizuki Aoba. Seven is animating the series.
The Japanese cast includes Maika Hara as Mio Fukaya, You Suzuki as Takahide Kujou, Nerine Akiyama as Shiori Kujou, Paama Kurukuru as Kiyotaka Kujou, and Ren’ya Kojita as Yukitaka Kujou
Plot concept: The story follows a young woman who encounters a friend at reunion and finds that he’s grown into a handsome adult… who also happens to be bald thanks to becoming a monk at his family’s temple. But, before he was a monk, he was a man, so, things heat up.
