Anime Limited France has a pretty fun show getting some additional attention later this year as they’ve set a complete collection release for the two seasons of Cat’s Eye that they brought out previously. While we saw some Blu-ray material before for it, this complete set is a DVD-only release that will arrive on September 6th, 2017. It’s priced at $49.99 and will have the Japanese and French language tracks to it with French subtitles available. The show originally ran for 73 episodes through 1985 and the series was released on DVD in North America through Nozomi Entertainment, who acquired it in summer 2013.
Crunchyroll has set both seasons as available for members, though it’s only available in North America due to Nozomi’s distribution rights for it.
Plot concept: Cat’s Eye is the most notorious group of art thieves in Japan. No one knows their identities, but for most of Tokyo, the mystery only heightens their allure. To bumbling detective Utsumi Toshio, Cat’s Eye is a colossal pain in the neck. They outwit him and the rest of the police at every turn, making them look ridiculous. He would never dream of being in love with someone in Cat’s Eye. Except he already is.
