The spring 2017 anime series Warau Salesman New has finally had its home video release plans set with Japanese distributor VAP going the box set route. The DVD set is priced at 19,800 yen while the Blu-ray is priced at 24,800 yen with an October 25th, 2017 release. Check out the cover artwork for it below! The set will have seven discs with two episodes each plus a bonus disc that includes interviews, cast commentaries, and more.
The series was directed by Hirofumi Ogura with Naohiro Fukushima, Asami Ishikawa and Midori Natsu on the scripts while Fujio Suzuki is handling character design. Shin-Ei Animation worked on the animation.
Tessyo Genda has been cast as the lead, Fukuzou Moguru.
The series is based on the manga from Fujio (A) Fujiko that ran back in 1969 for a couple of years for six volumes total.
Original premise: Each chapter follows Fukuzou Moguro, a traveling salesman, and his current customer. Moguro deals in things that give his customers their heart’s desire, and once his deals are made and their unhealthy desires are satisfied, Moguro’s customers are often left with terrible repercussions, especially if they break the rules of his deals…
