The latest rankings have come in for what’s selling in Japan for the week ending June 25th, 2017 and there’s some bleak news. The gap between seasons seems to have hit a few shows in the last couple of years and the latest one to take a hit may be Attack on Titan. With the first season selling somewhere on average of 35,000 units each, the first volume has landed with just 5,500 on Blu-ray and just over 1,100 on DVD. Ouch. There may have been very good reason for the gap between seasons with the manga, and a quick third season coming next year may ease things some, but the Japanese sales aren’t going to do the production any favors. The second season of Starmyu got underway this week as well with just 4,200 on Blu-ray and 3,600 on DVD while Re:Creators also hit with a weak 2,000 Blu-ray and a whopping 245 copies on DVD.
