The 37th Doraemon film hit in Japan back on March 4th, 2016 and it’s winging its way to home video fairly quickly. Pony Canyon handles the distribution for the films and they’ve scheduled an August 2nd, 2017 release on Blu-ray and DVD where both formats are priced at 4,104 yen each. On-disc extras include the announcements, clean opening and closing, music videos, and TV spots. First press materials include a postcard set.
The film was directed by Atsushi Takahashi based on the screenplay by him which was animated by Shine-Ei Animation. The 104 minute film did $56 million US during its theatrical run, or just over 4 billion yen.
Plot Concept: While Nobita and his friends are in Antarctica, they stumble upon some ancient ruins, and discover a big secret.
