Viz Media Provides Fun Interview Snippets with ‘Dragon Ball Super’ Mangaka Toyotarou

2 min read

DBSViz Media brought out the localized first volume of Dragon Ball Super last month and they’ve now put together a fun little two-minute piece with the manga artist for that incarnation of it with Toyotarou. While Akira Toriyama is providing the overall series concept and the like, Toyotarou is the one spending sixteen hours a day working on bringing the manga to life and notes during one of the questions that the manga itself may diverge as it progresses, notably in regards to how it may end.

Plot Concept: Having defeated Boo, Goku is starting to get bored with his life on Earth. His wife, Chi-chi, wants him to get a job, but all he wants to do is train and fight stronger enemies. However, he might soon regret his wish for greater challenges, as one is on its way right for him!

Elsewhere in the universe, the God of Destruction, Beerus, and his attendant Whis are traveling from planet to planet in search of food and entertainment. After blowing up some hapless victims, Beerus is reminded of a man from his dreams with the moniker “Super Saiyan God,” or something like that. The God of Destruction sets his sights on Earth to track the source of his visions, leading to a battle like no other.
