NBC Universal Japan Sets ‘Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul’ Blu-ray Anime Releases

Rage of Bahamut Virgin SoulThe spring anime series Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul has its home video release plans being handled by NBC Universal Japan and they’ve set an interesting release plan for it. The twenty-four episode show is getting a four-volume release on Blu-ray where they’re priced at 120,000 yen each. Each set will have six episodes along with bonus materials and serial codes for the games to be redeemed.

The project saw Keiichi Satou directing based on the script by Shizuka Ooishi with character designs by Naoyuki Onda. MAPPA produced the animation

The Japanese cast includes Hiroyuki Yoshino as Favaro Leone, Go Inoue as Kaiser Lidfard, Masakazu Morita as Azazel, Miyuki Sawashiro as Rita, Hiroshi Iwasaki as Bacchus, Showtaro Morikubo as Hamsa, Megumi Han as Jeanne D’arc, Sumire Morobushi as Nina Drango, Yuuichirou Umehara as Charioce XVII, Maaya Sakamoto as Sofiel, Yasuhiro Mamiya as Dias and Kensho Ono as Alessand.

The opening theme will be “LET iT END” performed by SiM while the ending theme is “Haikei Goodbye Sayounara” by DAOKO.

Plot Concept: 10 years after the world escaped destruction due to the revival of Bahamut, humans at the royal capital gather wealth, the demons are enslaved to assist with the capital’s revival, and the gods lose their power due to a decrease in religious piety. The world is thrown off balance as humans, gods, and demons hold their own ideas of justice.
