Sentai Filmworks has a big release coming up on July 11th, 2017 with the complete Gate anime series in one collection. Ahead of that, we’re starting to get the cast reveals underway as the third promotional video has arrived for it that reveals that Brittney Karbowski will be playing LeLei La Lalena in it. Karbowski’s career goes back to 2005 with Chrono Crusade and sevearl others and she’s worked steadily since with many leading roles, including Migi in Parasyte and the upcoming KanColle series as Sendai.
While the series is getting separate DVD and Blu-ray releases priced at $79.98 and $99.98 respectively, they’ve also got a combo collector’s edition release arriving priced at $199.98 and it’s a pretty intense packaging with a lot of goodies in it that you can see below.

The anime adaptation of the light novel series from Takumi Yanai has Takahiko Kyogoku directing it at A-1 Pictures based on the overall series composition by Tatsuhiko Urahata. Jun Nakai is on board to handle the character designs. The cast for the series includes Junichi Suwabe as Yōji Itami, Hisako Kanemoto as Tuka Luna Marso, Nao Tōyama as Lelei la Lelena, Risa Taneda as Rory Mercury, Haruka Tomatsu as Pina, Hiroki Yasumoto as Akira Tomita, Kaito Ishikawa as Takeo Kurata, Maaya Uchida as Shino Kurebayashi and Yōko Hikasa as Yao.
Plot Concept: When a mysterious gate suddenly appears in Tokyo’s Ginza district and begins spewing armed warriors and flying monsters, the world is thrown into turmoil. Although the deadly attack is thrown back by Japan’s Self Defense Force, there’s now a new and entirely unknown land on the other side of the portal, and Japan is effectively at war with a nation on the other side. Determined to secure peace, the JSDF must send an armed force into the Gate, but ogres, dragons and a ruthless Empire populated by elves, humans, and half-animal warriors aren’t the only dangers they’ll face. With the resources of two worlds at stake, the balance of power on both sides of the Gate is destabilizing, and betrayal can come at any time, from any quarter. There, trapped right in the middle of the ensuing firestorm, stands officer Yoji Itami and the JSDF’s Third Reconnaissance Team as they plunge into the GATE.
