J-Novel Club Announces the Licensing of Light Novel Series ‘Clockwork Planet’

The Clockwork Planet VisualCo-created by the author of No Game No Life, and now a hit anime!

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – June 1st, 2017 – J-Novel Club LLC is proud to announce the acquisition of a hit light novel series from Kodansha Ltd., “Clockwork Planet”. The first third of volume 1 is available now at j-novel.club for Members, as well as a free ~40 page preview of the series. The E-Book for volume 1 will go on sale in August of this year. This is J-Novel Club’s first series licensed from venerable Japanese publisher Kodansha Ltd., and we hope to be one of many more to follow!

Clockwork Planet is co-authored by Yuu Kamiya, who has gained immense popularity around the world for the No Game No Life series of novels, manga, and anime, and newcomer author Tsubaki Himana, and tells the tale of a post-apocalyptic world where everything runs on clockwork, even the girls! A manga adaptation started in 2014 and is now up to its 7th volume, with 3 volumes already released in English by Kodansha USA Publishing (kodanshacomics.com), and an anime adaptation is currently airing in Japan and streaming worldwide this summer.
