Adam WingardMonster movies are in a bit of a revival these days and Warner Bros. along with Legendary Pictures are exercising as much of it as they can. Set for a May 22nd, 2020 release date, the film is being overseen by Terry Rossio with a writers room that included  Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne (Star Trek Beyond), Lindsey Beer, Cat Vasko, Maze Runner movies writer T.S. Nowlin, Jack Paglen (Transcendence) and Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski.
