TC Entertainment Reveals ‘Okawari-Boy Starzan S’ Blu-ray Anime Box Set Artwork

2 min read

Okawari-boyTC Entertainment is digging into the past for a new Blu-ray anime box set with the Okawari-Boy Starzan S series. With it just a few days until the release of the first set and just over a month until the second set, we now have a look at the main cover artwork for both of these classic box sets.

Originally airing in 1984 for thirty-four episodes, it’ll be getting two Blu-ray box sets that kick off this year on May 26th and June 30th respectively. They’re both priced at 21,600 yen. The series is working from a new high definition negative so it should be a really great looking product in the end, particularly in comparison to past releases and the original broadcast.

Directed by Hidehito Ueda based on the series composition by Takao Koyama, the series had Yoshitaka Amano working on the character designs with animation produced by Tatsunoko Production.

The Japanese cast includes Kazuhiko Inoue as Hoshio Yumeno / Starzan S and Yumi Takada as Jun Yagami.

Plot concept: On planet Kirakira live two tribes: Senobi and Robot. Senobi, quiet and peacefully set, settle down in the forest. Robot comes from the desert and starts war to take control of afforested grounds. A young hero coming from Senobi tries to appease the whole situation.
