TBS Animation revealed back in January the upcoming original anime project Action Heroine Cheer Fruits and now that we’re closer to the debut some new details have arrived. With a new promo debuting that you can see below, we now know that the series will premiere on July 6th, 2017. Keizou Kusakawa is directing based on the series composition by Naruhisa Arakawa. Naomi Ide is handling the character designs while Diomedea will be producing the animation.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Misaki Kurogane: M.A.O (Mao Ichimichi) (Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel (TV))
- Roko Kuroki: Rie Murakawa (Non Non Biyori)
- An Akagi: Miku Itou (Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yattemita.)
- Mana Midorikawa: Yuuki Hirose (Minami Kamakura Koukou Joshi Jitensha-bu)
- Yuuki Aoyama, Genki Aoyama: Haruka Ishida (AKB0048)
- Mikan Kise: Erii Yamazaki (Frame Arms Girl)
- Hatsuri Momoi: Moe Toyota (Hibike! Euphonium)
- Kanon Shimura: Haruka Shiraishi (Sanzoku no Musume Ronja)
The opening theme song “Jōnetsu☆Fruits” will be performed by the main voice actresses for the series while the ending theme song “Hi no Ataru Basho” (The Place the Sunlight Hits) will be peformed by the Tokimeki Kanshasai unit.
Plot concept: “Support the city!” The setting takes place in a peaceful area for fruit production. Since the city is losing its vibrancy, the local girls became the city’s heroines! This is the story of the youth and their struggles in making the city’s excitement back again.
