Viz Media Sets ‘Death Note’ Digital Manga Sale

death-note-volume-1-coverViz Media has closed out its Naruto manga sale as of last night and that means today is on to something different. The publisher has put the full twelve volume run of Death Note on sale now through ComiXology where they’re priced at $4.99 as well as over on Amazon Kindle where they’re priced at $4.49. You can also get the whole set in print in box set for for 56% off right now at just $50 here. The digital sale is running through May 22nd, 2017 at midnight.

Viz Media began releasing the manga back in 2005 after it kicked off in 20013 in Weekly Shonen Jump. Created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, the property became a huge sensation with a thirty-seven episode anime TV series, live-action films, a live-action TV series, and a new Netflix feature film that’s in production.

Plot concept: Light tests the boundaries of the Death Note’s powers as L and the police begin to close in. Luckily Light’s father is the head of the Japanese National Police Agency and leaves vital information about the case lying around the house. With access to his father’s files, Light can keep one step ahead of the authorities. But who is the strange man following him, and how can Light guard against enemies whose names he doesn’t know?
