The spring 2017 anime series SukaSuka, aka WorldEnd: What are you doing at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?, is getting the simuldub treatment from Funimation. With the show moving right along with new episodes, they’re now bringing out their first dub clip from it so they can try and draw in some new viewers to it that may not have looked at it before. Alexis Tipton is the ADR director and Jeannie Tirado as the assistant ADR director for the project.
The English cast includes Micah Solusod as Willem-Kmetsch, Amber Lee Connors as Ctholly-Nota-Seniorious, Lara Woodhull as Tiat, Sarah Wiedenheft as Pannibal, Jill Harris as Lakhesh, Kristi Rothrock as Collon, Jamie Marchi as Nygglatho, Bryan Massey as Grick-Graycrack, Bryn Apprill as Almaria-Duffner, Brittney Karbowski as Ithea-Myse-Valgulious, Alexis Tipton as Nephren-Ruq-Insania, Christopher R. The Japanese cast includes Ryouhei Arai as Vilem Cumesh, Azusa Tadokoro as Kutori Nota Seniolis, Machico as Icea Mize Valgalis, Akari Uehara as Neflen Luku Insania, Kazusa Araname as Larntolk Itsuri Historia, Inori Minase as Ifuto Kay Desperatio, Tomomi Mizuma as Tiat, Yurika Kubo as Panibal, Manaka Ishimi as Lakish, Hina Kino as Coron, Akane Kohinata as Armita, Kikuko Inoue as Niglart, Chiba as Glick Gleicluck, Juurouta Kosugi as Limeskin, Satomi Sato as Armania Dufna, Honoka Inoue as Firacolribia Drio, Rina Satou as Lila Asplay and Mugito as Swon Kandel.
The work comes from writer Akira Kareno with the prequel series having delivered five volumes between 2014 and 2016. The new series released its first volume this past April and there’s also a manga adaptation out there by Kaname Seu.
Plot concept: The fleeting and sad story about little girls known as fairy weapons and an associate hero that survived. This is a world after it was attacked by unidentified monsters known as beasts and many of the species in the world, including humans, had been destroyed. The species that managed to survive left the ground to live on a floating island called Regal Ele. Willem Kumesh wakes up above the clouds 500 years later, though he couldn’t protect the ones who he wanted to protect. Actually, he was living in despair because he was the only survivor. He then ends up meeting a group of girls while starting an unexpected weapon management job.
