Anime Limited Firms Up ‘Prison School’ Limited Edition Blu-ray Release

3 min read

Prison School VisualAnime Limited has definitely had some problems in getting the Prison School series out in the UK market with a few missed dates and a removal from listings for a bit while dealing with packaging and more. We saw back in February that the DVD side of the combo package was released and now things are firming up for the Blu-ray only release. In late April, their store listed it, which is usually a sign of confidence, with a May 29th, 2017 release date. That’s now been bumped back a bit as the latest newswire from the distributor has set a June 12th, 2017 release due to the lenticular aspect of the packaging didn’t go as smoothly as they had hoped and they’re giving themselves a bit of breathing room to ensure that it’s right. Additionally, it’s now fully confirmed that the BFC rating is 18+ with it being uncut.

“Presented in collectors packaging with a slipcase featuring a lenticular image of USC Vice President Meiko. This release also includes a 44 page booklet with artwork from the show and an interview with the director Tsutomo Mizushima.”

On-disc extras include the Episode Commentaries for episode 1 & 11, Episode 12 Video Commentary, Textless Opening & Ending songs, and Commercials.
