TOHO Highlights Upcoming ‘Sakura Quest’ Anime OP/ED CD Releases

sakura-quest-headerThe spring 2017 anime series Sakura Quest is getting a bit of promotion today with TOHO now bringing out quick hit spots to highlight the upcoming opening and closing CDs. Set for release on June 7th, 2017, there’ll be two editions with a regualr and a luxury edition that also includes a Blu-ray disc with it. Each CD focuses on its particular area with the opening or closing in full, TV side, and instrumental, but also a few other tracks to be included.

The show is based on the original work by Alexandre S. D. Celibidache that was directed by Souichi Masui based on the series composition from Masahiro Yokotani. Kanami Sekiguchi handled the character designs based on the original work by BUNBUN.

The Japanese cast includes Ayaka Nanase as Yoshino Koharu, Reina Ueda as Shiori Shinomiya, Chika Anzai as Maki Midorikawa, Chiemi Tanaka as Ririko Oribe, Mikako Komatsu, as Sanae Kouzuki, Atsushi Ono as Ushimatsu Kadota, Maki Izawa as Chitose Oribe, Katsuyuki Konishi as Takamizawa, Hiro Shimono as Takashi Yamada, Daiki Hamano as Mino, Vinay Murthy as Mr. Sandal, Nanako Mori as Angelica and Tomoyo Kurosawa as Erika Suzuki.

(K)NoW_NAME is on board for the song ‘Morning Glory” while the ending theme song is .”Freesia” which is also by [K]NoW_NAME.

Plot concept: Five young women have one thing in common—the careers they planned for themselves weren’t working out. Job dissatisfaction, trying to make ends meet, and personal insecurities lead each of them to start working at a local tourism bureau where their lives become intertwined. As the girls experience their first year on the job, they learn a lot about their town, their industry, and themselves
