Anime Limited Plots ‘Tokyo Ghoul’ OVA Release

Tokyo Ghoul JackAnime Limited had previously announced plans to bring out the two OVAs for the Tokyo Ghoul property with Jack and Pinto as part of their second quarter 2017 releases. Due to material delivery issues, that’s not getting a bit of a bump and retail listings should pretty much be ignored for the time being until more formal information comes out.

The release is being planned as a subtitle-only release since Funimation does not have the rights to it and have not dubbed it themselves, though one does kind of hope that a delay indicates that something may be changing behind the scenes. It’s best to not get hopes up too high on that front, however.

Plot concept: An incident involving a human-devouring Ghoul occurs in Tokyo’s 13th Ward. To seek the truth behind what happened to his friend, the rebellious high school boy Taishi Fura pursues the Ghoul named Lantern with the young ace investigator Kishō Arima.
