With plans for a summer 2017 debut, we learned back in January that the Cleanliness Boy! Aoyama-kun manga is getting a TV series anime adaptation. While we’ve got a bit to go with this project, a new key visual has arrived that you can see below giving us a look at the main cast of characters and how they’re being designed for it. The series is being directed by Kazuya Ichikawa based on the series composition by Midori Gotou. Studio Hibari is handling the adaptation’s anime production.
The comedy manga comes from Taku Sakamoto that began in 2014 in Miracle Jump and then leapt to Young Jump in early 2015.
Plot concept: The story revolves around Aoyama, a fastidious soccer genius who prioritizes cleanliness over everything, in which during his plays he neither heads nor slides and only throws with his gloves on!
